BILLINGS, Mont. – The Pop Stop has quickly become a popular destination for local high school students in Billings during their lunch breaks. Located directly across from Billings Senior High, the shop has been open for about three weeks and is already drawing a crowd with its welcoming atmosphere and affordable menu.
This kiosk presents a wide range of choices, featuring sodas, soups, sandwiches, and boba. Susan Garcia, the general manager, revealed the inspiration behind the shop's name: "We named it The Pop Stop because my son used to call his dad Pops, and he sadly passed away from cancer a couple of years ago. This is our special place; it's rooted in our community, and we are genuinely excited to be welcomed here."
The shop has seen a surge in customers, with many making daily visits. One regular, Jenna Shelton, shared her excitement, stating, "I absolutely love the food; the sandwiches are delicious! The variety of soda flavors is fantastic—there's so much to pick from, and I can be pretty indecisive, so it sometimes takes me a while to decide. Plus, it's really budget-friendly, which is great since I'm a bit short on cash right now. It's nice to have a place nearby where I can grab lunch."
The store is working to enhance accessibility for customers by offering services like DoorDash and the option to pre-order online for easy pickup. The Pop Shop is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Customers are particularly thrilled by the creative soda names, including "It's Not You It's Me" and "Second Wife," with each beverage featuring a classic dad joke on its cup sticker.
The Pop Shop is rapidly establishing itself as a beloved fixture in the Billings community, providing a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for both students and residents.
