McValue is officially on the menu at McDonald's, offering customers more ways to save on menu items with meal deals, all-day savings and more.

McDonald's announced on Tuesday that the new everyday value platform is ready for action nationwide, after previously confirming to ABC News last November the popular $5 Meal Deal would extend into the first half of 2025 as part of the new McValue roll out.

To help kick off the new launch, the Golden Arches dubbed beloved actor and former pro-wrestler John Cena its McValue ambassador to deliver the news in a robust social campaign, featuring his own McDonald's favorites.

"I often mention the phrase 'earning my sunset,' and there’s truly nothing better than winding down at McDonald's after having an incredibly successful day," Cena remarked in a statement.

A dedicated McDonald's enthusiast remarked, "Deciding between my favorite items can be challenging, but thankfully that's no longer an issue. With the introduction of the new McValue menu, fans can customize their meals and snag fantastic deals on the food they adore, which is truly a revolutionary change."

Cena is showcasing his favorite meals on his social media platforms, including his top pick for the Buy One, Add One for $1 deal — a sausage McMuffin paired with hash browns.

McDonald's has introduced the revamped McValue platform, which "provides increased variety, options, and flexibility." The company highlighted that customers can take advantage of the Buy One, Add One for $1 promotion, along with the $5 Meal Deal that gained widespread popularity in 2024.

In 2025, customers can look forward to an ongoing distribution of over $3 million in local and in-app promotional deals as part of the new McValue menu. This includes a special offer of free medium fries with any $1 purchase every Friday, along with a complimentary McCrispy Chicken Sandwich for those who are new to the app.

Every local franchise has the opportunity to provide additional promotions tailored to their communities, such as highlighting app-only deals like 20% off purchases of $10 or more, as well as recommending their favorite Buy One, Add One combinations.

In early 2025, McDonald's has teamed up with 16 different brands to introduce a variety of promotions, including a complimentary month of YouTube TV, 20 minutes of free Wi-Fi on American Airlines, and a subscription to Tinder Gold Premium Access.

Customers engaging with McValue advertisements have the opportunity to earn free credits, enjoy upgrades, and experience ad-free entertainment, available while supplies last.

This launch follows closely after the company revealed significant updates to its diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

McDonald's has joined the ranks of prominent corporations, including Walmart, Ford, and John Deere, in scaling back their diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.

The company referenced the Supreme Court ruling from 2023 that abolished affirmative action in college admissions, stating that it will discontinue certain initiatives, such as halting participation surveys from outside organizations and eliminating representation goals.

McDonald's announced its commitment to ongoing inclusion efforts, stating that "everyone is embraced beneath the Golden Arches."

The company announced that it has achieved gender pay equity across all tiers within the organization, a target it set in 2021. Additionally, it reported that 25% of its overall supplier expenditures are directed towards businesses owned by diverse groups.
