Heat some olive oil in a frying pan while you bring a pot of water to a boil for the pasta. Make sure to follow the instructions on the package, but generally, pasta reaches the perfect al dente texture in around 10 minutes.

Thinly cut your bacon before adding it to the preheated skillet. Cook it over high heat until the pieces achieve a delightful golden-brown color and release their delicious fat.

Add the cream to the saucepan and allow it to come to a vigorous boil. Once it reaches a rolling boil, reduce the heat and let it simmer softly for a short moment.

Remove the pan from the heat completely before incorporating the grated parmesan cheese, stirring until it blends smoothly into the creamy mixture.

Add a lively splash of lemon juice, just as Mary suggests, to "balance the richness." Finish off with a sprinkle of pepper, and you've got a deliciously creamy pasta dish that's ready to enjoy. Mary advises using salt with caution in this recipe, noting, "Watch the salt, as the bacon can be fairly salty on its own."
