My idea of dinner consists solely of snacking (no real meals for me) and sipping on three different drinks simultaneously — that's what I like to refer to as girl dinner.

Hello! I'm Jessica, and I absolutely enjoy a refreshing drink paired with a tasty snack.

I've previously shared my current favorites as a self-proclaimed drink girlie, and now I'm expanding the list to include light bites and food must-haves as well.

I've been indulging in a few brands lately, and I plan to keep enjoying them throughout this year.

Del Real Foods

Del Real Foods, headquartered in Jurupa Valley, California, specializes in refrigerated, heat-and-eat Hispanic foods. They make tamales, carnitas, salsas, pupusas, and other recipes — all created by hand with fresh ingredients and nothing artificial — and inspired by the Mexican heritage of the Cardenas’ founding family. The brand’s Birria & Cheese Pupusas were recently honored as a winner in Progressive Grocer’s 2024 Editors’ Picks Awards.

My suggestion: You need to try the salsa. I'm so seriously, you need to try it because it's literally so delicious I could drink it. While I've yet to try all their food offerings, their tamales were delicious and I'm definitely going to go and try more of their products after how impressed I was from their other products!

Fly By Jing

Founded by Jing Gao, Fly By Jing was inspired by the amazing flavors of Gao's hometown, Chengdu, and its famous fly restaurants — described on the website as "soulful hole-in-the-wall eateries so good they attract diners like flies". Fly By Jing doesn't conform to anyone else's notions of value, taste, or tradition. It is one person's recipes, one person's vision, and one person's story." I love using their Sichuan Chili Crisp for literally everything — from rice and eggs to noodle dishes and soups! They also offer other things like hot pot soup bases, aged vinegar, and even canned smoked salmon with sweet and spicy zhong, which is a collaboration with Fishwife. Overall, I've loved everything I've tried so far and am looking forward to trying all their products in the future.

My suggestion: Besides their classic Sichuan Chili Crisp, I highly recommend their Chili Crisp Noodles! They're a super quick and easy meal that tastes amazing.

4. Sauz

Sauz

Sauz is a new generation of tomato sauce that aims to shake up tradition by introducing inventiveness, aesthetics, unexpected and bold flavors to the jarred tomato sauce aisle. I thought I was happy with my go-to brand of jarred tomato sauce, but Sauz proved me wrong. Founded by childhood friends Troy and Wilson, Sauz was born from the duo being fed up with bland, boring pre-made tomato sauce while attending college. Their flavor lineup includes Hot Honey Marinara, Creamy Calabrian Vodka, Summer Lemon Marinara, Wild Rosemary Marinara, and their latest addition — Cracked Pepper and Parmesan.

My suggestion: If there's one flavor you need to try, it's the Hot Honey Marinara. I cannot stress enough how absolutely delicious this one is. Just do it— you won't be disappointed.

Check out all their products on Sauz or at your local Target.

The brand partners with a fourth-generation farmer who owns and operates his family farm in Vietnam’s Central Highlands and has a mission to "change the future of coffee through diversity, sustainability, and cultural integrity."

If you've been keeping up with my gift recommendations, you already know how fond I am of this brand. I've been a loyal customer for many years, and while nothing can compare to the Vietnamese coffee from the local cafes, Nguyen Coffee Supply offers excellent quality beans that are easy to obtain. My top pick from their selection is the Loyalty blend, and I've relied on their stainless steel phin for brewing for years without any issues.

My suggestion: I love their Loyalty blend and limited edition Moka blend (when they have it stocked). Plus, their ready-to-drink cold brews are a tasty option for easy and portable drinks.

Guayakí的马黛茶

Although I'll never stop drinking coffee, sometimes I like to change up how I get my caffeine. For those days, or times when I don't have the time to make coffee I'll grab a Yerba Mate from Guayakí. Yerba Mate is a South American native beverage that has grown in popularity over the past few years, with Guayakí being at the forefront of the movement. This drink definitely packs a punch and is the perfect solution to my mid-day slump!

My suggestion: I love the Revel Berry, Bluephoria, and Peach Revival flavors!

Founder Katlin Smith created Simple Mills after switching to a primarily whole foods-based diet and saw her health improve from this change. Simple Mills offers a mix of crackers, sweet thins, baked snack bars, and baking mixes.

My suggestion: I'm obsessed with their Farmhouse Cheddar Almond Flour Crackers. They're like Cheez-Its but made with better ingredients. I seriously cannot help but eat the entire box in one setting; that's how much I enjoy them!

I can't tell you how many years I've called Kettle Brand chips my favorite chip brand. I love their Salt and Vinegar flavor, but all the flavors I've tried so far have been fantastic. I seriously can eat an entire bag of these chips in one setting with only slight regret from the stomach pain, but each bite tastes so good and is so satisfying I can't complain much.

My suggestion: If you love salt and vinegar chips, you must try Kettle's version if you have not already done so. The Himalayan Salt and the Salt and Pepper flavors are also delicious.

It's cookie dough made with oats is wrapped around creamy gelato and coated in a soft cookie crumb, which is also gluten-free and relatively low calories (if you care about that stuff), it makes a perfect little snack or after dinner treat.

My suggestion: I love their Mint Chocolate Chip flavor so much! I'm also curious about their Strawberry and Cinnamon Churro flavors but have yet to try them out.

This may sound a bit strange but I love a good jam or spread. I frequently refer to myself as a "sauce girl" so any condiment is fair game for me. So when I discovered GOOD GOOD and their product line up, I was immediately intrigued. GOOD GOOD's lineup of fruit preserves, peanut butters, and chocolate spread are made without added sugar and are perfect for people looking to reduce their sugar intake.

My suggestion: The Belgian Choco Hazel, Strawberry Jam, and Creamy Peanut Butter are among my favorites! I'm curious about their Lemon Curd and Chili Fig Jam.

Check out all their products on GOOD GOOD.

20. Wild Planet

I have a confession: I'm a tinned fish girl. I grew up eating tuna fish sandwiches, and as an adult, I've stayed true to my roots. I typically will use a can of tuna with some kewpie mayo, sriracha, and sesame oil to create this spicy tuna mix and eat it with rice and roasted seaweed sheets. Or just make a tried and true tuna fish sandwich. Regardless, I'm that gir,l and I'm proud of it.

Wild Planet focuses on offering sustainable seafood, and its mission is to transform the industry from a compassionate one to one that cares about the planet. They offer a variety of products, including Albacore Tuna, Sardines, Sockeye Salmon, Smoked Salmon, Mackerel, and more seafood and flavor options.

Mark Sisson started Primal Kitchen with a simple mission: to change the way the world eats. Primal Kitchen condiments and sauces are made with high-quality ingredients that make mealtime easy and delicious, and I appreciate having a better-for-me option for my favorite condiments. I consider myself a sauce girl, as in I use what is almost a disgusting amount of condiments when I eat, so I feel a little better knowing that Primal Kitchen sauces are perhaps a bit less bad than the regular brands.

My suggestion: If you buy only one thing from Primal Kitchen, get the Chicken Dipping Sauce. Just do it, the bottle will be gone in no time because you won't be able to stop eating it.

Check out all their products on Primal Kitchen.

My suggestion: All of them are great, but I'd definitely suggest the Alphonso Mango and the Strawberry flavors. The outer mochi part can be a bit hard fresh from the freezer, so I recommend letting it sit for a few minutes before diving into it.

My suggestion: If you're looking for a classic matcha latte, go for their ceremonial-grade matcha powder! I've also tried their Hojicha Powder, which was a big crowd-pleaser.

Check out all their products on Jade Leaf Matcha Tea or Amazon.

My suggestion: The Dark Chocolate Covered Coconut Bars are my favorite from their lineup! And you can't go wrong with chocolate-covered almonds.

My suggestion: You can't go wrong with the classic Chocolate Chip cookie! Sweet Loren's also offers many fun options, with Salted Caramel Chocolate, Oatmeal Cranberry, and Fudge Brownie to name a few. They have a brand new collaboration with Barbie to celebrate Valentine's Day this year, too!

Founder Sajani left her tech job and has partnered with Sri Lankan farmers to source her products. While I can't say much about the health benefits, I can say that these products are delicious and super easy to make when you're having a particularly lazy day. I like to make one as an afternoon pick-me-up during my work-from-home day when I need an extra boost of caffeine. The ingredients list is short and filled with things I know, so I feel better knowing I'm not drinking hidden sugar or fillers.

My suggestion: I love their Sri Lankan Milk Tea and their limited edition Maple Chai Latte! Brewing is also made easier with their new LazyCup.

Brami’s two product lines include lupini bean pasta, made in Italy with just two ingredients: durum wheat semolina and lupini beans which offers 60% more protein and triple the fiber of typical pasta and snackable lupini beans that are pickled and spiced.

My suggestion: Any of their pastas shapes are solid options, and they have plenty different ones for all your pasta needs! Their snackable beans also come in many tasty-sounding flavors — like Sea Salt & Vinegar, Chili & Lime, Hot Calabrian Pepper, and more!
