Hungarian swimmer Katinka Hosszu, a three-time Olympic champion, has officially declared her retirement from competitive swimming.
BUDAPEST, Hungary (AP) — Katinka Hosszu, a three-time Olympic champion from Hungary and one of the most accomplished swimmers in history, has declared her retirement.
Referred to as the "Iron Lady" of swimming due to her demanding range of events, the 35-year-old Hosszu has participated in five Olympic Games. She made her Olympic debut at the age of 15 during the 2004 Athens Olympics.
