The expansion of the infusion center was partially funded by the Kristin Cantrell endowment, established following her passing on December 7, 2020, due to an inoperable brain tumor.
Following her passing, the Cantrell family organized two Up to the Sky Golf Tournaments, with a portion of the funds raised directed towards enhancements for the infusion center. The recently renovated lobby has been named the Kristin Renee Cantrell Hill Welcome Center.
Ron Cantrell, her father, expressed that naming the lobby in honor of his daughter signifies her connection to a cause that will benefit others and ensures her legacy endures eternally.

Rebecca Cantrell, Kristin's mother, expressed that Kristin is “watching over us and feels quite proud of herself.”
Jenny Lewis, the vice president of philanthropy at Premier Health, remarked that naming the lobby was a fitting tribute to "honor Kristin's enduring legacy of compassion."
Officials at Atrium Medical Center announced that they will enhance the patient experience by delivering:
- a healing environment with cancer support services
- access to clinical trials
- and a multidisciplinary care team approach with evaluation, treatment planning, and care for all cancer disease types.
State Senator Steve Wilson, a Republican from Maineville, described the enhancements as a "valid source of pride and an exceptional representation" of both the hospital and the surrounding community.
The Premier Blood and Cancer Center features 15 examination rooms, 18 infusion chairs, an integrated laboratory, and a nourishment center designed for patients and their families.
According to hospital officials, AMC typically welcomes seven new patients each day for radiation and infusion therapies. They noted that this advanced cancer treatment facility will improve healthcare options in Butler and Warren counties, allowing individuals facing a cancer diagnosis to undergo their treatments in a single, convenient, and comforting location near their homes.
Officials stated that patients will have the opportunity to connect with a comprehensive cancer support team, which includes cancer nurse navigators, social workers, dietitians, oncology pharmacists, genetic counselors, services for cancer survivors, nurses for clinical trials, rehabilitation therapies for cancer patients, radiation oncology services, pathology, and additional resources.
Diane Pleiman, the president and CEO of Premier Physician Network, emphasized that “battling cancer requires a collaborative approach.”
