Supplements have the potential to alleviate stress and may also improve your sleep quality.

Stress, anxiety, and difficulties falling asleep are prevalent issues faced by numerous individuals in Britain, yet this does not imply that one has to endure these challenges without seeking help.

A specialist revealed the dietary supplements that may assist in enhancing relaxation and facilitate better sleep quality.

Feeling stressed is one of the main reasons people struggle to sleep at night and getting the right vitamins and nutrients into your diet can help relieve symptoms, according to TRIP’s Head of Product, Rachael Matthews (ANutr).

The specialist suggested a blend of components that features magnesium, lion's mane, lemon balm, and chamomile, which can be found in various supplements and beverages like the TRIP Mindful Blend series.

Stress and anxiety can prevent people in Britain from getting a good night's sleep.

Rachel elaborated: "The selection of 'actives' in the beverages has undergone thorough research and is specifically designed to induce a calming effect. Among them, magnesium stands out as the most extensively studied, with numerous research findings highlighting its positive association with relaxation and equilibrium."

Research indicates that regular magnesium supplementation could potentially lower cortisol levels, the hormone associated with stress, in as little as 28 days.

"Each can is packed with 120mg of magnesium citrate, a highly bioavailable form of the mineral, providing about one-third of your daily recommended intake."

A study conducted by the Sleep Foundation highlighted the positive effects of magnesium on sleep quality. It noted that "increased magnesium levels in the body correlate with improved sleep, extended sleep duration, and reduced daytime fatigue."

"Research involving older individuals indicated that taking magnesium supplements facilitated quicker sleep onset and provided protection against unintended early awakenings."

It also noted that "studies indicate that magnesium aids individuals in maintaining regular sleep patterns."

Lion's mane has become increasingly popular as a supplement lately, and it has been associated with lower stress levels as well.

Rachel elaborated on the advantages of this: "Lion's mane, a variety of mushroom, has been associated in preliminary studies with enhancements in cognitive function, stress management, and overall mood, and is rapidly gaining popularity worldwide."

"The lion's mane mushroom might also affect the concentrations of specific neurotransmitters in the brain, including serotonin and dopamine."

Supplements may help enhance relaxation.

"These neurotransmitters are crucial for regulating mood, and any changes in their levels can influence emotional health."

"Although this is based on early studies and more research is needed. Customers have reported feeling relaxed; having a clearer mind; and sleeping better after consuming Mindful Blends."

Several research efforts have explored the relationship between sleep and lion's mane in individuals suffering from ailments like dementia or obesity.

A study conducted in 2019 involving 77 participants who were either obese or overweight revealed that after eight weeks of taking the supplement, there were significant improvements in symptoms of depression, anxiety, and sleep disorders.
